REBIRTH IS DUE TO MIND
And to the tendencies of the mind.
You think: and an impression is left in the mind,
This impression is the seed of thought,
The impressions coalesce together
And make tendency or tendencies.
As you think,
So you become. You take birth
Rajas is in the middle,
Tamas goes downwards
Enveloped in evil qualities.
Mind is the cause
Of man’s bondage and liberation;
An impure mind binds,
A pure mind liberates.
When you realise the Truth,
When you know your own Self,
The cause for future births is removed,
The thoughts are killed, the Samskaras are burnt.
You are free from rebirth,
You attain Perfection,
You enjoy Supreme Peace,
You become Immortal—this is the Truth.
If there is only one birth,
If the evil-doer is thrown into eternal fire,
There is no scope for his betterment;—
This cannot be accepted.
This is not reasonable too,
The Vedanta embraces even the worst sinner:
How sublime is this philosophy!
It proclaims to him:
Friend! Thou art pure Soul,
Sin cannot touch thee,
Regain your lost divinity,
Sin is nothing.
Sin is a mistake only;
You can destroy sins in the twinkling of an eye,
Be bold, be cheerful,
Stand up, wake up, “Uttishthata, Jagrata”.
The Gita says: “Even the worst sinner
Can become righteous, can cross sins
By the raft of wisdom.”
How do you account, friend!
There is the existence of boy geniuses,
A child plays on the piano,
A child delivers lectures,
A boy solves great mathematical problems.
A child narrates his previous life,
One becomes a full-blown Yogi,
This proves that there is rebirth:
Buddha gained experiences in several births.
He became Buddha only in his last birth.
He who has a taste for music,
Gains experiences in several births,
And becomes a master of music in one birth,
He cuts grooves for music in each birth,
Slowly develops tendency and aptitude,
And becomes an expert musician in one birth;
So is the case with every Art.
The baby sucks, the young duck swims,
Who taught this? They are
The Samskaras or the tendencies of previous births.
In one birth all virtues cannot be developed.
By gradual evolution only, one can be cultivated.
Saints possess excellence in all virtues,
The existence of saints and adepts
Indicates that there is rebirth.

1.CHANGING YOUR PERCEPTION OF TIME-
If you are in a hurry you are always running short of time, your biological clock speeds up.If you are in love your biological clock slows down.If you are in touch with your soul ,or spirit ,you transcend, your biological clock may even stop.

SHRI CHAKRA
To comprehend Saundarya Lahiri .,it is important to have an in depth knowledge of Shri Chakra.
The representation of a deity in the form of a Mantra or Yantra is more subtle than its representation through an image.
Yantra is derived from the root word, “Yam” meaning “to control” and “tra” from the root word trayati meaning ,” to liberate”. Thus yantra is that which controls and liberates.
Yantra are the visual equivalents of the mantras. Yantra has the mantra as its soul and the Mantra has the deity as its soul. The mantra is to the deity as the body is to the soul. The deity is invoked by meditating on the yantra and calling its subtle name (bija akshara).
Shri yantra is formed by nine interlocking triangles, five of which point downwards representing Shakti and four triangles pointing upwards representing Shiva. Together these 9 triangles are interlaced in such a manner so as to form forty three smaller triangles.
The nine levels of the Shri Chakara starting from the periphery are –
1.Bhupura – It is a square of three lines with four portals;(i)Outer quadrangle denotes eight sidhis.( white lines)

SAUNDARYA LAHIRI by Adishankracharya
The first part consisting of 41 Shlokas ,is called Ananda Lahiri, refers to the knowledge of tatva in Shakti Upasna.
The second part consists of 42-101 Shlokas. They describe the beauty of the Goddess Tripura Sundari from toe nail to the head. This is referred to as Saundarya Lahiri.
Shakti upasana is divided into two categories –
The Samay Marg –This worship refers to ,meditating on the Goddess from within the body, and
(ii) Kaula Marg is the worship of the sleeping kundalini i.e. Shakti at the Muladhara.
Saundarya Lahiri provides us with a deep insight of Shrividya Sadhana , details about the Shri Chakra Sadhana and worship of the Goddess Tripura Sundari .In Shrividya, Shri Chakra consists of nine steps which take us from the physical world to the realization of the self. In other words, it leads us from the outer worship of the Devi to the inner self.
Saundarya Lahiri praises the Goddess and establishes her oneness with Shiva .Whenever there is Shakti, there has to be an Ashrayain, i.e. a base for it. For instance a fragrance or a color is an abstract Shakti, which needs a base for it to exist. This base is Shiva or Brahma
Jnana and Maya are the opposite ends of the same phenomenon called life. Maya comprises of this physical world, the human mind and our senses. Vivek and Vairagya are needed to counter Maya.
Bhakti and prayers help us to focus our mind in noble direction .It purifies our minds and fills it with love for the self .This love for ones own self is reflected as the love for the outside world.
Jnana is the enquiry of the self.
Bhakti is like a glove which protects us while working to attain oneness with the high voltage current, the supreme source of energy i.e. Shiva, thus completing our journey from Dvait to Advait.

ART N SPIRITUALITY
In the art, man can be a creator and a viewer or listener. Both these cases can provide favorable possibilities for development.
Let me draw your attention to the fact that any work of art can be assessed according to the scale of subtlety-coarseness. And every high-quality work of art should be used for refining attunement. Or, at least, it has to show the way from tamas (that is, from the initial coarseness, dullness, ignorance) — through rajas (the stage of active search of way out to the light of Truth, when man transforms from a dully suffering person into a fighting one) — to sattva (purity, harmony, subtlety) — and higher.
In relation to the above said, let me emphasize that on the path to the Perfection one cannot skip the stage of sattva. One cannot become perfect at once, starting from tamas or rajas! One cannot “leap” over the stage of sattva! The path of refinement, development of inner harmony and the ability to love — is necessary for everyone! No one should think that “it is not for me, let others be engaged in this but I will achieve the Perfection in other way”. No! The law of the evolution of man expounded, in particular, by Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita consists in gradual advancement through the stages-gunas mentioned above, so that one may come then to higher stages of work on oneself.
With the help of art one can also train energy, vigor; this corresponds to maturing at the stage of rajas. Let us take rock, for example. Non-coarse, dynamic dances of youth — who opposed them? The people of tamas, who are far from real, pure energy! Opposed those who are angry about everything new, or inert, irresolute people who lack energy themselves. Had they danced rock ‘n’ roll or similar dances in their youth, they would live their lives more actively now.
Non-coarse energy (vigor) is very needed on the spiritual path, because it develops the personal power, allows one to accumulate strength that can be used for various needs, for meditative work, for example.
So, with the help of adequate dynamic music and dynamic dance one can develop in oneself these missing qualities.
With the help of other kinds of music and dance one can master higher states: calm, inner quietness (hesychia; you can find more details on this subject in our book Practice of the Modern Hesychasm, LP OGT, Odessa, 2004).
Painting, poetry, orient kinds of art such as ikebana, “philosophical landscapes”, etc can also be helpful in mastering these states.
Yes one has to master calm, not energy alone; this is essential on spiritual Path! That is, one has to become universal: to be able to relax and to be maximally active when necessary.
With the help of works of art one can also exert directed energy influence on the audience.

Purpose of life...
You have to connect yourself with the Divine Force which is running the universe to attain that eternally happy blissful state. Till the time we overcome our desires to fulfill material pleasures, till the time we are engrossed in material pleasures, we cannot connect with our real self.
Desires we have accumulated have to be spent out. Desire to have no desire, is again a desire. Wealthiest is the person who doesnt want anything.

Oil Painting - Perception
Oil Painting - Ying Yang

Many natural dualities such as dark and light, female and male, low ang high , cold and hot are viewed in chinese thoughts as manifestations of yin yang. Ying Yang are complimentary opposites within a greater role. They constantly interact never existing in absolute. In indian philosophy, Shiv Shakti define the male and female eneriges.
Here Ida and Pingala nadis represent the female and male energies, the moon and the sun respectively. When male and female energies are balanced, energy rises through sushumna nadi and one reaches pure consciousness and becomes one with Shiva.

I am not this body made up of five elements – earth, water, air, ether and fire. Nor I am the five senses comprising of eyes, ears, tongue, nose and touch. I am not this mind, intellect, nor the ego(i.e. mann, buddhi, ahankar). I am the omnipresent, formless, all pervading, infinite, indestructible which can neither be liberated nor be bound. I am the soul; I am Shiva.
from the heart of an artist ....to canvas of life.
In search of finding a meaning to our existence, my prime endeavour was to know about my latest capabilities and desires.
To know how the human mind works; the reasons and the repurcussions… To know what tickles us, to understand what excites us, what depresses us and why…
Western psychologists and authors have put forward numerous approaches on how to conquer mind, people, success etc. But even they cometo India to find solutions to their problems. Peace, happiness, health and yoga are names and synonyms. The science in India was much ahead of our times. Every problem and solution emerges from our mind. What we think makes a difference to our existence. In my quest I came across interesting subjects which inspired me to put them on canvas, to make them live, to make them speak for themselves.
Energy Matters
Matter can neither be created nor be destroyed, it can be changed from one form to another.
Conversion of mass and energy is defined by
E=mc2
Law of conservation of energy states that energy at any point of time remains constant.
What are our modern scientists trying to tell us… That every matter can be described as energy which is constant at any given point of time. That is exactly what the philosophy of Advait tells us viz. every life is just a manifestation of that supreme soul or the eternal source of energy i.e. SHAKTI.
Our philosophy even promotes universal brotherhood, vasudeva kutumbum, a beautiful phrase indeed.
Limiting the Unlimited
We often identify ourselves on the basis of country, class, creed, education, birth etc. Are we in search of an identity, an acceptance in society or being one up. Is it really helping us in staying happy or is it creating problem by complicating our life.
We often distinguish things on the basis of words like ‘me’ & ‘mine’ which are invariably the reason for our pain and sorrows.
Am I not digging my own grave byfalling in the pit called … Ego.
I am not this body. I am not the soul.
I am SHIVA.
SHIVOHAM
